Kathryn (Kary) Meissner is a Senior Research Specialist in the Division of Freight, Transit, and Heavy Vehicle Safety. With a background in both Customer Service and Visual Arts, Kary brings a driver-centered focus to her research. She is inspired to do research that helps with inventions or regulations to make the driving experience safer and more comfortable for professional drivers. Kary focuses on project management of the various studies DHVY has, as well as extensive community outreach with the Sharing the road with Trucks program. A Virginia Tech alum in Psychology, she is thrilled to be working for the college that helped her get her start in professional life.
