Brian Williams is currently a Research Associate in the Infrastructure-Based Safety Systems group at the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute (VTTI).
His duties include contacting and scheduling participants, overseeing human factors experiments as an in-vehicle experimenter, analyzing data and writing reports.
Williams began his career at VTTI reducing data for the 100-Car naturalistic driving study. Later he became involved in several on-road studies as an in-vehicle experimenter. He has been involved in the planning, performing, analyzing and reporting of several human factors studies, including further phases of the Wet Visibility study, Warning Lights, Cooperative Intersection Collision Avoidance Systems and other proprietary research.
