Aditi Manke, PhD is a Research Associate in the Division of Freight, Transit, and Heavy Vehicle Safety. Ms. Manke earned a PhD in Public Affairs from Rutgers University in 2021. Her research interest focuses on travel behavior, travel mode choice, and subjective well-being of people. Her PhD thesis has motivated her to focus on the interrelations between commuting to work and the built environment. At VTTI, Ms. Manke has been involved in varied kinds of projects that focus on automated driving systems in heavy vehicles, driver monitoring systems, indoor air quality in truck cabins and the role of artificial intelligence in transportation policy. She takes a keen interest in descriptive and inferential statistics as well as qualitative research methods and in engaging with different tools of data management and visualization.
