Kevin Kefauver, Division Director
Division of Data & Analytics
Dr. Kevin Kefauver serves as the director of the Division of Data & Analytics at VTTI. In this role, he conducts data-driven research and empowers the division to develop and employ sophisticated algorithms, machine learning and statistical methods, innovative data fusion, and visualization techniques to advance transportation.
He is skilled in state-of-the-art modeling and simulation techniques and the development of models, scenarios, and test cases to support the testing and evaluation of automated driving systems. As an established leader and strong principal investigator, he has directed research in vehicle dynamic testing, modeling, and simulation. His experience includes vehicle testing and advanced data analysis.
Prior to joining VTTI, he served 10 years as Technical Director for the VTTI-affiliated Global Center for Automotive Performance Simulation. Dr. Kefauver has a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Control Systems Vehicle Dynamics, all from the University of Maryland.
